Due to our continued growth, we are seeking professional drivers to join our business.

 

You may already own your own van or, you may be looking to start out the delivery business for the first time and require the full help and support of a successful team to get your dreams off the ground.

 

Our self-employed courier position allows you to earn an income from being a courier whilst also learning about the industry and being part of a growing team.

There are some essential criteria that you must meet in order to be considered for the role:

• You must have full UK driving licence

• You must be willing to drive a long wheel base vehicle or Luton van

• You must be willing to start early and work late – meeting the Service Level Agreements The Courier Alliance has with its clients and customers

• You must be willing to invest in your business in order to cover the cost of obtaining the relevant insurance and for the cost of hiring a vehicle – The Courier Alliance will never ask you for any money to join us.  We can discuss the full breakdown of initial start up costs prior to you starting with The Courier Alliance

• You must be able to complete a DBS criminal record check – this will cost £25 and is paid to an external company once your application has been accepted – No money will ever be paid direct to The Courier Alliance

• You must be willing to work on your own, driving long distances in accordance with the routes set by the company

• You must maintain a friendly and polite demeanour when dealing with customers

• You must be able to lift heavy items and ensure no items are damaged during transit

• You must be trustworthy and be willing to handle cash on behalf of the company

 

Our pay structure is simple and is based on the weekly route you will drive.  As you run your own business, we will pay you £0.5815 per mile which is an average of £785 per week.

This is based on an average of 1,350 miles per week – a typical weekly route our drivers cover.

 

YOU DO NEED TO CONSIDER THE COSTS OFOPERATING AS A SELF-EMPLOYED COURIER AND WE WILL DISCUSS THESE COSTS WITH YOU PRIOR TO OFFERING YOU A POSITION WITH THE COMPANY.
