Careers With The Courier Alliance
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BECOME A SELF EMPLOYED COURIER WITH THE COURIER ALLIANCE?
FIRST OF ALL, YOU NEED A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential to operate as a courier. You will be asked to provide your driving licence information and a DVLA share code for approval prior to being accepted for a position with The Courier Alliance.
You can obtain your DVLA share code HERE
YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A DBS CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK
All Couriers operating in the UK are required to have relevant insurance to carry customer goods. This insurance is called Goods In Transit Insurance. Anybody can apply for Goods In Transit insurance. This has created an unfortunate situation whereby some individuals do not disclose all the relevant information to the insurer, resulting in the policy being invalid.
To help counteract fraud, all Couriers with The Courier Alliance are required to provide a DBS criminal disclosure. This costs £25 and is paid to a UK Government Agency.
Once we are in receipt of your criminal record check, we can offer you a position with The Courier Alliance.
